It Started in 2001
Jim and Bonnie Gearhart opened AAA American Storage in 2001, on a piece of land on Villa City Road, with a straightforward idea: give people a clean, reliable, stress-free place to keep their things, at a fair price, and be honest with them about it. Built on honesty, hard work and genuine care. Those were their words, and they meant them literally.
Groveland was a smaller place then. Over twenty-five years the town grew, the facility grew with it, and more than 5,800 tenants have kept something here: a household between moves, a boat between seasons, a business stock, a life in transition.
Jim and Bonnie have since retired. They handed the business to their grandsons, who run it now. The values did not change in the handover, and neither did the phone number.
